I’m an independent wedding filmmaker serving laid-back, creative, non-traditional couples, primarily in NY/NJ. A filmmaker for couples and families that want to experience the moments as they unfold.
And you, you cherish not only each other, but the loved ones you’ve invited to be a part of your day. You want to capture their faces, their voices, their best dance moves, the full and deep relationships that brought you to this point and will carry you together beyond it. This is your story, and it matters to me.
A Lost epic
Family. It's behind everything I do.
My grandmothers, in particular, on both sides of my family were entrepreneurs and artists. Toy designer. Photographer. Antiques dealer. I spent my childhood in front of cameras, acting in fairy tales or capturing everyday life with all the conspicuousness a late 1980s JVC camcorder could offer. In an art studio. In auctions and strange estate homes poring over details and artifacts.
A Lost Epic is an anagram of my family name - Peticolas - to pay homage to the people who inspired me from the start.

My singular goal as a NJ videographer: to create a capsule of the moments in between that forge unfading love.
A Lost Epic is founded on the desire to amplify joy and encapsulate your love without ever sacrificing being present.
Embedded in the power of sentiment and memory, A Lost Epic’s approach to filmmaking, both on your wedding day and with your family, strives to be genuine, enduring, and considerate of what makes your story unique. You and I, we know that no day will be perfect, but that when imperfection is embraced, you begin to see that *it was always meant to be*. I am here for you, to provide just the right amount of intentional and unintentional film flow (with only a *few* corny jokes thrown in!)
I believe in always learning, and that includes becoming intimately aware of your own story, culture, and traditions so that I can truly represent your story.
I believe that it is in your differences and diversity that unique experiences can be built for your wedding day and beyond.
Capturing how your inner and outer world communicates seemingly by coincidence is at the heart of our work together.
